WEEKEND MORNING ANCHOR/ INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, SPECTRUM NEWS 13 ORLANDO, FL

December 2021 - Present

Promoted to Weekend Morning Anchor December 2021
Research and pitch investigative stories relevant to coverage area with particular focus on system flaws and or systemic issues.
Developed Cold Case franchise by building relationships with several Central Florida law enforcement agencies and getting exclusive access to case details never publicly released generating new case leads. Built relationships with victims’ family members obtaining,exclusive first-time TV interviews.
Worked with investigative team on months-long investigative report uncovering unfair housing practices in Central Florida by analyzing federal housing data.

Oct. 2015- Oct. 2018

Served as award-wining investigative reporter and evening co-anchor for 6:30pm & 7:30pm newscasts on WJHL ABC Tri-Cities.
Produced weekly enterprise and investigative stories for our CBS & ABC newscasts.
Led special award wining enterprise reports on the cleanup of a forgotten African American cemetery.
Launched series of investigative reports that uncovered a local restaurant selling seafood not as advertised on the menu.
Uncovered speeding problem with local sanitation truck drivers resulting in the city addressing issues with workers through corrective action.

October 2013-October 2015

Served as reporter and occasional 6:30pm fill-in anchor during the week.
Produced a series of reports on missing Chesterfield woman in efforts to aid police in search efforts.
Traveled to Washington DC with team of reporters and anchor to cover the 2015 Papal visit. Also filed a number of live reports throughout coverage.

May 2010-Oct. 2013

Served as weekday nightside reporter/ mmj producing reports for 11pm show.
Would often serve as fill-in anchor on any shows that needed to be covered.
Occasional fill-in newscast producer, also worked to produce and launch station's first Hi-Definition newscast.
